Beacon Basin now functional at Red
Backcountry Access, Couloir Magazine and Red Resort have partnered along with Rossland & District SAR to provide this valuable facility to the public.
A Beacon Basin is a set of transmitters (10 in this case) that are permanently buried and controlled by a remote switch box. This allows groups to spend more time practicing, and less time setting up scenarios.
To use the area, please stop by the base area dispatch office to sign out the control box. They can direct you to the training aea which is near the base, just up hill fom the base of Silverlode lift.
